Don't listen to the Washington Compost

Cheney May Help or Hinder Bush's Chances according to the brilliant headline. The real story should be: VP's don't much figure into voter's decisions. Is there anyone out there who would vote for Bush if Cheney wasn't on the ticket, but won't vote for Bush if Cheney remains there? I don't think so. At least not enough to matter. Same with John Edwards. Sure VPs can help you campaign, but they really don't change voter's minds. Of course the Compost (and other old media outlets) think that Campaign Finance Reform will attrack voters to the polls, when in fact, the issue usually comes in just under "other" in issues voters most care about.

Advice for WAPO: Get out of your cocoon! The real world is this way!
