The Redskins Rule

Basically, the rule is that if the Washington Redskins win their last home game before the presidential election, the incumbent party loses the presidential election. This rule has held true to form since 1936.

Today's result: Packers beat the Skins, so if the rule holds true, Kerry would win the election.

Obviously, I was routing for the Redskins today because I want Bush and kinda like those silly traditions in sports. That's why I kinda wanted the Red Sox to lose the World Series - not for any dislike for them, or like for the Cardinals, but because I liked the idea of the "Curse." Anyway, this is more like a coincidence, rather than an actual indicator, like economic statistics, etc.

That being said, this kind of stuff is silly and only works until it doesn't. Anyway, my point is that if the Red Sox can win the series, then nothing is real in the world anymore and its a year that traditions may likely come to an end. Let's hope so.
