Not to anyone's surprise. Congress is trying to pass a law that will lower gas prices. The effect of the new law would be to raise gas prices (as well as grocery prices and electricity prices and the price of cars). Really, the government should take a "time out" and stop trying to "help" us with every little problem. It's amazing how nearly every time it tries to do that, the problem actually gets worse. Yet, they never learn...
