RIP, William F. Buckley

A founding father of the conservative movement has passed away. He inspired. He taught. Though, they were contemporaries, the guy influenced Ronald Reagan. He's been a huge influence on Rush. It is truly a sad day for conservatives and for America.

I've never met him, but his magazine, National Review, very much influenced me and my thinking on politics and culture. This was especially true while I was in junior college in Washington (state). After class, I would go into the library and read back (and new) issues of National Review for hours. While I knew that I was already a conservative, the magazine helped me to figure out why. I'm a frequent visitor to National Review Online as well (and am a Corner addict.) This day must be especially difficult for them.

Rest in Peace.
