California Supreme Court to Families and Voters: FUCK YOU

Democracy dies when Courts invent new rights out of thin air as the California Supreme Court did today in ruling that gay couples have a collective right to get married. This activist decision waters down our democracy. It renders the votes of millions of Californians null and void. It sends the message that voting on propositions and passing legislation through legitimate means (i.e., through our elected representatives) is optional and subject to the whims of 4 out of touch judges. This is not the rule of the law. It is the rule of unelected judges who use their power, not to interpret the law (as is their charge), but to make it up as they go along. It is a sad day for Californians who value their legitimate marriages and for those that value their right to have a say in the laws that govern our society, which apparently, is no longer a right.

The message is clear. So is mine. Fuck you, too. This isn't over.
