It's disappointing that he lost, but pretty amazing that the 3rd party candidate got so close without much organization or money and a liberal Republican playing spoiler at the last minute. The seat will be up for grabs again in 2010 and the GOP should select a palatable conservative candidate for spot. Hopefully, it will learn its lessons.

Disappointment yes, but still optimism for the future.
