Only Democrats want to reinstate the draft

So Kerry, Edwards, Martyr Max and Dean the Scream are all pushing the notion that if President Bush is reelected the military draft will be reinstated. These are the guys who are always claiming that Bush and Cheney are trying to divide the country? This tactic is divisive (if that term were to applicable to Democrats) and totally disengenous.

Bush and his administration have gone out of its way to refute the charge and has stated many times that a volunteer force is all we need (and that they do a great job!), and have done nothing to attempt to reinstate the draft.

It is the Democrats, like Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Sen. Fritz Hollings (D-S.C.) who are trying to get the draft reinstated. Of course, their motive is to weaken our military rather than respond to any actual need to reinforce it. Bush doesn't support that piece of legislation.

This draft B.S. is not worthy of a man running for President and is clear evidence that the Kerry campaign is losing big and grasping at straws.

UPDATE: This strategy by the Dems is downright contemptible.

UPDATE II: Snopes has more on the draft issue, labeling its likelihood "probably not." It fails to mention that the legislation pending to reinstate the draft is sponsored by anti-war Democrats and the legislation is not supported by the Bush administration, nor any responsible member of Congress. Their take on it needs to be updated to include these vital pieces of info.
