Spectervision

Hugh Hewitt weighs in again, warning that we don't want another Jeffords. Though, I don't particularly like Specter. He seems more opportunistic than principled, I'd say, for the sake of unity (that does sound weird). I'd say give him 2 years. If he messes it up kick him off the committee for good. Make him agree to this arrangement. Conservatives have more than enough power to keep him out, if they so desire. They can keep him on a short leash. He has gone on record saying he won't apply any pro-choice litmus tests. Let's hold him to his promises and his feet to the fire on this issue. He knows which side his bread is buttered. He won't get far in the minority. I said before, that 2 of the 3 options here are bad, but the 1 good one has the best upside. I don't want specter, but I think he has repented enough for us to give him a chance. He's on probation.
